We are Moshi Taxi, a Taxi Services provider in Tanzania.

  1. Information That We Collect

Moshi Taxi processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you.

When you make a booking: When you make a booking via website we will use your personal information to complete your booking and provide you with our services. The details we may gather from you may include your name, email address, phone number, transfer information and payment details (including your credit/ debit card information). We gather your personal data as part of our legal obligation for business accounting and tax purposes.

To complete your booking we share your personal information with our subcontractors who are involved in the booking process, such as payment providers, as well as credit reference agencies who we use to assess fraud, credit and/or security risks. We need to process your personal information in this way to enter into and perform the contract with you. When you contact us:

When you contact us by phone, email, social media, WhatsApp, Facebook via the website (including the “Contact Us” or by telephone with general queries we may also handle your personal information (your name, contact details and the other details you provide to us) in order to provide the customer services you have asked us to. When you have expressed an interest in our services: This section applies if you have opted in to receive marketing communications from us, or have previously expressed an interest in our services and not opted out.

Every email we send to you for marketing purposes will also contain instructions on how to unsubscribe from receiving them. You are not under any obligation to provide us with your personal data for marketing purposes.

Where you are interested in a job vacancy with us: When you enter into the recruitment process with us by email, phone or other method including via third party recruiters, we will also handle your personal information (your name, contact details, recruitment information (for example right to work documentation and references), qualifications and accreditation, licence details (DVLA and/or council), vehicle information, national insurance number, psychometric test results and any additional information provided by our recruitment partners.

We will use your personal information to assess your suitability for our available roles. We do this to perform a contract or to take steps at your request, before entering into a contract. Where we process your right to work documentation, we will do so to comply with our legal obligations.

To make our site better: We will also use your personal information to provide you with a more effective user experience (such as by displaying services we think you will be interested in).

Our use of your information in this way means that your experience of our site will be more tailored to you, and that the services you see on our site may differ from someone accessing the same site with a different history or browsing habits.

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement. Panther Taxis and Panther IP use third-parties to provide services and business functions as follows:

  • Credit Reference and Fraud Prevention Agencies.

Moshi Taxi take your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: –

  • Unique account numbers and passwords where requested.
  • Data is held securely on our systems on a managed firewalled network with anti-virus and anti-malware protection.
  • Regular backups of our internal server data to ensure that no data is lost.
  • Payments are encrypted with trusted providers.
  • Hard copies of documents, where needed, are stored in lockable offices.
  1. How Long We Keep Your Data

Moshi Taxi data services only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary. Our decision to keep personal information will be based on legal requirements. Where we have used your personal information to contact you for marketing communications, if you have opted-in we will contact you at least every 2 years to ensure you are happy to continue receiving electronic communications.

If you tell us that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, we promise to stop sending them to you.

Moshi Taxi only processes your personal information in compliance with this privacy notice and in accordance with the relevant data protection laws.
